Vacuum excavation is fast becoming a best practice in the field of construction and site excavation. Why? Because it uses jets of air or water to loosen soil, instead of heavy metal claw. After loosening, the soil is pulled out of a below-ground area through an air vacuum hose which conveys it to a debris tank for later disposal or backfilling. Using non destructive technology can quickly, safely and economically excavate in areas inaccessible to conventional digging equipment like backhoes and trenchers.

Operators can dig with precision, establishing a less invasive method for slot trenching, potholing and pipe location. This manner of excavation causes less surface damage reduces disruptions of traffic another other surface activities and can be easier and less expensive to repair.

With Vac-Tron’s PMD and LP Series, you can physically locate underground lines more safely using vacuum. But the value of

vacuum excavation extends beyond visibly identifying buried

utilities. Vac-Tron’s equipment also eliminates frac outs, pulls dart

or mouse through conduit to install utility lines, installs short

horizontal bores and soft-digs trench in high-volume underground

utility areas.
